People

In her 20+ years of practice, founder/owner Ananda Moor-Jankowski has always been drawn to landscape architecture’s broad reach—as a means to wonder and beauty, as a significant cultural practice, and as an agent for environmental and social transformation. She has worked in offices large and small on a wide range of project types in diverse settings and climates. On every project, her abiding passion for plants has animated her work. In 2025 she established ON LAND to bring more life, resilience, and beauty to the world and be part of a growing design activism movement.

Before starting ON LAND, Ananda worked at Michael Boucher Landscape Architecture in Freeport, ME, Ann Kearsley Design in Portland, ME, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates in Cambridge, MA, and Rios Clementi Hale Studios in Los Angeles, CA. She received a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Studies and Visual Arts from Brown University.

Ananda is a Maine Licensed Landscape Architect. She is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Boston Society of Landscape Architects, and the Ecological Landscape Alliance. She holds a Certificate in Native Plant Studies from the Native Plant Trust.
